W 1867 roku utworzono polityczny i autonomiczny powiat kolbuszowski, obejmujący dawne powiaty administracyjne i sądowe Kolbuszowej, Sokołowa oraz 11 okręgów z powiatów Głogów, Mielec, Rzeszów i Tarnobrzeg. Political and autonomous poviat in Kolbuszowa was created in 1867. It comprised the former government and judicial poviat of Kolbuszowa, Sokołów and 11 districts from Głogów, Mielec, Rzeszów and Tarnobrzeg poviats. The creation of this poviat involved forming self-governing institutions, the responsibilities of which were to watch over the development of self-government in this region. The self-governing institutions from the period of Galician autonomy lay the foundations for the self-government in the Second Polish Republic. An important role in the poviat was played by a poviat government, which had the right to supervise all the authorities in the subordinate districts.

L’autonomie locale dans le powiat de Kolbuszowa de 1867 à 1939. Introduction à la monographie

Le powiat politique et autonome de Kolbuszowa a été créé en 1867. Il englobait les anciens districts administratifs et judiciaires de Kolbuszowa, Sokołów ainsi que 11 districts issus des powiats de Głogów, Mielec, Rzeszów et Tarnobrzeg. La création de cette entité s’est accompagnée de la mise en place d’institutions d’autonomie locale, chargées de veiller au développement de l’autogestion dans la région.

Les institutions d’autonomie locale issues de la période de l’autonomie galicienne ont jeté les bases de l’autogestion sous la Seconde République de Pologne. Le gouvernement du powiat jouait un rôle important, ayant le droit de superviser toutes les autorités des districts subordonnés.
