Wstępnie autor scharakteryzował zewnętrzne cechy dokumentu (pismo, poprawki), a także jego specyfikę jako źródła historycznego do dziejów Kolbuszowej, jednego z najważniejszych ośrodków osadniczych i administracyjnych w południowo-wschodniej części Małopolski w XVI i XVII wieku. Krytycznie opracowany oryginalny tekst łaciński stanowi istotną część artykułu. Tekst jest uzupełniony polskim tłumaczeniem oraz objaśnieniami historycznymi i językowymi. Zawiera on szereg istotnych informacji na temat funkcjonowania parafii i wsi Kolbuszowa, proboszcza miejscowego kościoła, Jana Małeckiego, ruchomego wyposażenia kościoła, dochodów parafii (grunty, stawy, zobowiązania osób zależnych) oraz religijnej Bractwa św. Anny i św. Józefa.

The condition of the parish of Kolbuszowa at the end of the 17th century in light of the episcopal visitation from 1676

The article focuses on the seventeenth-century record concerning the parish of Kolbuszowa, the record which was part of the files of the ecclesiastical visitation in the archdeaconry of Sandomierz conducted in 1676, during the reign of Bishop Andrzej Trzebicki (Visitatio externa Archidiaconatus Sandomiriensis authoritate et speciali mandato [ … ] Andreae Trzebicki [ … ] Episcopi Cracoviensis [ … ] Anno Domini 1676 [ … ] inchoata, number AKS 799, card 36r –37r ). The records come from the Archive of the Cathedral Chapter in Sandomierz. In the introduction the author characterized external features of the document (handwriting, corrections), as well as its specificity as a historical source for the history of Kolbuszowa, one of the most important settlement and administrative centers in south-eastern region of Little Poland in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. A critically developed original Latin text constitutes essential part of the article. The text is accompanied by a Polish translation as well as historical and linguistic explanations. It includes a number of crucial information on the functioning of the parish and village of Kolbuszowa, a parish priest of the local church, Jan Małecki, mobile equipment of the church, the income of the parish (land, ponds, obligations of dependent people), and the religious Confraternity of St. Anne and St. Joseph.
