Artykuł koncentruje się na społeczności parafii Osiek w latach 1885-1934, kiedy ks. Jan Jakiel, kronikarz „Liber Memorabilium”, był tam proboszczem. Autor artykułu, na podstawie opisanych przez kapłana wydarzeń (zarówno bieżących, jak i przeszłych) oraz jego komentarzy, przedstawia obraz społeczności Osieka w wymienionym okresie, osobowość kronikarza oraz jego ocenę otaczającego go świata. Rev. Jan Jakiel and the community of Osiek in „Liber Memorabilium”

The article focuses on the community of the parish of Osiek during the years 1885-1934, a time when Rev. Jan Jakiel, the chronicler of Liber Memorabilium, was a parish priest there. The author of the article, on the basis of the events described by the priest (both current and past ones) and his comments, presents the image of the community of Osiek in the aforementioned period, the personality of the chronicler as well as his assessment of the world around him. Loving people and wishing them happiness, the priest was strict, often reprimanded them and openly disapproved of their sins. However, he was very well liked and respected by his parishioners. His relationships with the people around him were divided into: relations with superiors and the people on whom Rev. Jakiel was somehow dependent (superiors and professors in the seminary, a bishop, collators in the parish), the relations with the people equal to him, e.g. in terms of education, status or scope of “power” (priests, teachers and municipal authorities – those who had impact on the life of the ordinary residents of Osiek), the relations with the ordinary parishioners (the most information) and with the followers of other religions (little information).

Le révérend Jan Jakiel et la communauté d’Osiek dans le „Liber Memorabilium”

L’article se concentre sur la communauté de la paroisse d’Osiek pendant les années 1885-1934, une période où le révérend Jan Jakiel, le chroniqueur du Liber Memorabilium, était curé là-bas.
