Forestry management in Raniżów was among those in the Kolbuszowa district which were created almost immediately after the Red Army had entered this area in 1944. Although its main offices were in Raniżów, this town was not mentioned in its name. The official name was the State Forestry Management of Masuria, later changed into the State Forestry Management of Morgi.
