Historia edukacji w Zaczerniu sięga czasów staropolskich, kiedy to w tej wsi istniała szkoła parafialna. Jej istnienie zostało potwierdzone już w 1623 roku. Protokoły z wizytacji kanonicznych z XVIII wieku donosiły, że szkoła została zlikwidowana. Ponowne otwarcie instytucji edukacyjnej miało miejsce w 1844 roku. Wówczas edukację rozpoczęło 63 dzieci. Pierwszymi nauczycielami byli proboszcz ks. Józef Maziarkiewicz i organista Jan Tryczyński.

25 stycznia 1857 roku w Zaczerniu założono szkołę trywialną. Uczęszczało do niej 89 uczniów. W 1860 roku wzniesiono nowy budynek szkolny. Po 12 latach powstał nowy budynek przeznaczony do nauczania. Na początku XX wieku było tam 216 uczniów. Rosnąca liczba dzieci i młodzieży uczącej się była motywem do budowy nowego budynku w latach 1908-1909. Z czasem szkoła została przekształcona w czteroklasową. Kadra nauczycielska również zwiększyła się do czterech osób.

The history of education in Zaczernie dates back to the Old Polish times when there was a parish school in this village. Its existence was confirmed as early as in 1623. The records from the canonical visitations of the 18th century reported that the school had been liquidated. Reopening the educational institution took place in 1844. At that time, 63 children started education. The first teachers were parish priest Rev. Józef Maziarkiewicz and organist Jan Tryczyński.

On 25 January 1857, a trivialis school was established in Zaczernie. Eighty-nine students attended it. In 1860 a new school building was erected. After 12 years, a new building was erected for the purpose of teaching. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 216 students. The growing number of children and young people being educated was the motive for building a new building in the years 1908-1909. Over time, the school was transformed into a 4-class one. The teaching staff also increased up to four people.
