Pod koniec XIX wieku nastąpił rozwój prasy periodycznej w Galicji. Jednym z czasopism, które ukazały się w tym czasie w Rzeszowie, był Kuryer Rzeszowski, wydawany w latach 1894-1898. Teksty w nim zawarte dotyczyły także pobliskich miejscowości, w tym Sokołowa.

Artykuły i akapity skupiały się na różnych zagadnieniach. Poruszały kwestie polityczne, prawne, administracyjne, sądowe, gospodarcze, komunikacyjne, społeczne, a także opiekę zdrowotną, edukację, kulturę, sport i Kościół. The issues concerning Sokołów in the weekly magazine Kuryer Rzeszowski (1894-1898)

At the end of the 19th century, there was the development of the periodical press in Galicia. One of the magazines that appeared in Rzeszów at that time was Kuryer Rzeszowski, published in 1894-1898. The texts included in it also concerned the nearby towns, including Sokołów.

The articles and paragraphs focused on various issues. They raised political, legal, administrative, judicial, economic, communication, social problems as well as health care, education, culture, sport, and the Church. Nowadays, these press publications are an important source of information about the town’s life at the end of the 19th century.
