Współczesne pojęcie „sprawiedliwości” w świetle kazań bł. ks. Jerzego Popiełuszki

Błogosławiony ks. Jerzy Popiełuszko (1947-1984) – „męczennik komunizmu” i kazania, które wygłaszał podczas comiesięcznych Mszy Świętych za Ojczyznę w kościele na Żoliborzu w Warszawie, stały się trwałą częścią patriotycznego i religijnego krajobrazu Polski. Jego nauczanie stało się duchowym testamentem, który jest wciąż aktualny. Swoje kazania poświęcał głównie podstawowym wartościom człowieka i społeczeństwa, które powinny kształtować człowieka w odpowiedni sposób. Wśród wielu wartości pojawiających się w nauczaniu „kapłana z Żoliborza” była również sprawiedliwość, jako zasada społeczna, dobro wspólne.

Według ks. Popiełuszki (który podążał za nauczaniem Kościoła), współcześni Polacy mogą czynić sprawiedliwość, prowadząc życie zgodne z zasadami Dekalogu i przede wszystkim przestrzegając przykazania miłości Boga i bliźniego. Refleksja nad sprawiedliwością w nauczaniu ks. Jerzego może być odniesiona do współczesnego pojęcia tej wartości. Zbrojne i interpersonalne konflikty, naruszanie praw człowieka, wszechobecny hedonizm, chęć szybkiego wzbogacenia się, często kosztem lub krzywdą drugiej osoby, prowadzą do wniosku, że współczesny człowiek i społeczeństwo są narażone na porażkę i często naruszają to fundamentalne prawo.

Sprawiedliwość kieruje społeczność lub człowieka w stronę bliźniego lub grupy ludzi i podkreśla pełny szacunek dla ich praw, pozycji i dobra wspólnego. Dlatego przesłanie błogosławionego Jerzego o Dekalogu i miłości zawsze będzie aktualne i istotne dla dobrze funkcjonującej sprawiedliwości międzyludzkiej i społecznej.

A modern concept of “justice”, according to Blessed Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko’s sermons

Blessed Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko (1947-1984) – “the martyr of communism” and the sermons he preached during the monthly Holy Masses for his homeland in the church in Żoliborz in Warsaw became a permanent part of the patriotic and religious landscape of Poland. His teaching became a spiritual testament that is still relevant. He devoted sermons mainly to the basic values of man and society, which should form a human being in a proper way. Among the many values appearing in the teaching of the “the priest from Żoliborz” was also justice, as a social principle, a common good.

According to Rev. Popiełuszko (who followed the teaching of the Church), contemporary Poles can do justice through leading a life consistent with the principles of the Decalogue and, above all, keeping the commandment of love for God and neighbours. Reflection on justice in the teaching of Rev. Jerzy can be referred to today’s concept of this value. Armed and interpersonal conflicts, violations of human rights, ubiquitous hedonism, the desire to quickly get rich, often at the expense or harm of the other person, lead to the conclusion that modern man and society are exposed to the failure and often a violation of this fundamental right.

Justice directs the community or man towards a neighbour or a group of people and emphasises the full respect of their rights, positions and the common good. That is why the message of Blessed Jerzy about the Decalogue and love will always be relevant and essential for well-functioning interpersonal and social justice.

Une conception moderne de la „justice” selon les sermons du Bienheureux Révérend Jerzy Popiełuszko

Le Bienheureux Révérend Jerzy Popiełuszko (1947-1984) – „le martyr du communisme” et les sermons qu’il prêchait lors des messes mensuelles pour sa patrie dans l’église de Żoliborz à Varsovie sont devenus une partie permanente du paysage patriotique et religieux de la Pologne. Son enseignement est devenu un testament spirituel toujours pertinent. Il consacrait ses sermons principalement aux valeurs fondamentales de l’homme et de la société, qui devraient former une personne de manière appropriée. Parmi les nombreuses valeurs apparaissant dans l’enseignement du „prêtre de Żoliborz”, il y avait aussi la justice, en tant que principe social, un bien commun.

Selon le Révérend Popiełuszko (qui suivait l’enseignement de l’Église), les Polonais contemporains peuvent rendre justice en menant une vie conforme aux principes du Décalogue et, surtout, en respectant le commandement de l’amour de Dieu et du prochain. La réflexion sur la justice dans l’enseignement du Révérend Jerzy peut être référée à la conception moderne de cette valeur. Les conflits armés et interpersonnels, les violations des droits de l’homme, l’hédonisme omniprésent, le désir de s’enrichir rapidement, souvent au détriment ou au préjudice d’une autre personne, conduisent à la conclusion que l’homme moderne et la société sont exposés à l’échec et souvent à la violation de ce droit fondamental.

La justice oriente la communauté ou l’homme vers son prochain ou un groupe de personnes et souligne le plein respect de leurs droits, de leurs positions et du bien commun. C’est pourquoi le message du Bienheureux Jerzy sur le Décalogue et l’amour sera toujours pertinent et essentiel pour une justice interpersonnelle et sociale bien fonctionnelle.
