Procedure for Reviewing

The Procedure for Reviewing Scientific Articles in “Rocznik Kolbuszowski”

  1. Submitting an article to the Editorial Board of Rocznik Kolbuszowski implies the author’s/authors’ consent to the review process.
  2. The journal’s Editorial Board conducts an initial assessment of the submitted materials in terms of their alignment with the journal’s profile and the basic requirements regarding scientific rigor and substantive level.
  3. Texts that meet formal and scientific criteria are forwarded for evaluation to two designated independent and anonymous reviewers from outside the Rocznik Kolbuszowski community (Editorial Board, Scientific Council).
  4. Articles intended for publication in Rocznik Kolbuszowski are reviewed according to the double-blind review process, meaning that both the author(s) and the reviewers do not know each other’s identities.
  5. The review is in written form and contains the reviewer’s unequivocal conclusion regarding the acceptance or rejection of the article for publication.
  6. In the case of conflicting reviews, the Editorial Board appoints a third reviewer. The third reviewer’s opinion is decisive.
  7. The author(s) are required to make the corrections to the article suggested by the reviewers.
  8. The final qualification of the article for printing is determined by the Editor-in-Chief based on an analysis of the comments contained in the reviews and the final version of the article provided by the author.
  9. The list of reviewers collaborating with the Editorial Board is published on the journal’s website.
